JVC
GY-HM250

The GY-HM250 uploads completed clips through configurable FTP, SFTP, implicit FTPS, or explicit FTPES profiles using a supported HOST USB adapter. It supports on-camera and browser selection, background transfer, and resumable non-SFTP uploads; the HM180 bodies in the shared manual do not expose this workflow.

manual clip upload from thumbnail view / selected or all-clip upload / browser-triggered clip upload

Transfer can begin from the documented camera-side behavior shown here.

STATUS

Documented.
Not lab-verified.

The shared manual marks networking and FTP as GY-HM250-only features; GY-HM180 is excluded. Use current firmware; FTP resume is unavailable with SFTP. Physical Camera to Anywhere interoperability is not yet lab-verified.

TROUBLESHOOTING

If it will not send,
start here.

01FTP menu missing

Confirm the body is HM250, networking is enabled, and a supported adapter is present.

02Cannot connect

Verify IP/DNS/gateway, host, port, and firewall.

03Login/path rejected

Correct Username, Password, Dir. Path, and account permissions.

04Resume disabled

Use FTP/FTPS/FTPES without HTTP proxy and confirm the server supports append.

Documentation gets us to the menu. Hardware earns the badge.

This guide compiles all discovered FTP-related setup evidence for this model, but it is not a promise that every firmware version and venue network will behave identically. Verification records the exact body, firmware, access point, protocol, payload, and result.
