GY-HM850

The GY-HM850 sends completed SD-card clips to one of four configurable FTP, SFTP, implicit FTPS, or explicit FTPES profiles. Networking is supplied through a supported HOST USB adapter, and uploads can be initiated on-camera or through the camera's web interface.

MEDIA BEHAVIOR
  • Only completed recorded clips are uploaded.
  • The active card/thumbnail view defines the selectable set.
  • Upload progress and stop controls are displayed.
  • Secure protocols request first-use fingerprint validation.
  • Duplicate filenames normally prompt before overwrite.
LIMITS + WARNINGS
  • A supported HOST USB network adapter is required.
  • Automatic post-record and chunked uploads are not documented for this family manual.
  • HTTP FTP proxy mode supports only FTP and changes overwrite behavior.
  • The family manual does not document resume; re-send the whole clip after an interruption.
  • Use the current JVC adapter compatibility list because older USB adapters may no longer be available.

TROUBLESHOOTING

01Server unreachable

Confirm adapter, IP/DNS/gateway, Server, Port, and venue egress rules.

02Access denied

Verify account permission for the selected Dir. Path.

03Authentication fails

Correct Username and Password in the chosen Clip-FTP profile.

04Path invalid

Use an existing writable server path in Dir. Path.

05Secure connection warning

Compare the displayed fingerprint with the value supplied for the endpoint before accepting.
